I wondered when I left Southern California what I would miss the most.... Well here are a few things that come to mind.

- Playing board games every night.

- The G-Unit

- The Anthill at UCI.

- Jon Wright singing "On The Radio"

A Higher Calling (An update)

Now that I am not preoccupied  with watching fan videos of Peyton Manning backed by Metallica songs on YouTube, I find my life... is in complete disarray. I am trying to remember what my life was like Pre-Colts and I am drawing blanks. The emotions that I am feeling in having said goodbye to the Colts, (I imagine) must be similar to the emotions, many guys feel when their girlfriends break up with them (I can only speculate since I didn't have time for a relationship since I was fervently following my favorite football team).

Now, I know my love affair with an American football team appears to be a practice in folly (it may even border on tomfoolery ... who's to say?)  let it be known  that whilst courting the Colts, I did dable in looking at woman. Okay! I admit it I joked, I flirted I let it lay all out there on the line... to be honest, the problem was not with me... it was with them.  I wanted a woman who memorized play books and looked like a linebacker. I guess I will have to keep looking.

I don't know where this blog is going... but I wrote a haiku. I think it is awesome.

Wandering... wandering in a unknown place.
That's me.
I'm lost, Colts SUCK.

A Higher Calling

So now that I work 50+ hours a week, it is difficult to get a good work out in. Don't you worry. Don't you worry. I get my workout watching my favorite football team. Oh shoot, I meant to write that in the past tense. I got my workout watching my favorite football team.

Changing the subject... Have you heard of Tivo and/or DVR? It's the best thing ever! I can watch all my favorite programs when I want to. Anyway, it's funny that you should ask about DVR because, I've been watching some Seinfeld episodes...when I want to watch them!!

Remember that episode where George's girlfriend gets mono and George can't have sex with her?  George was not preoccupied with thinking about sex and incidentally he spent time learning much more about the world around him. He developed an interest in chemistry, linguistics and how to hit home runs consistently. Last night I watched that episode and then my Colts lost badly.

I wasted a lot of time following the Colts. Reading blogs, looking up stats, arguing with Baltimore Ravens fans about where Peyton Manning would be in Dante's Paradise, and finding out what Marvin Harrison had for breakfast.

I was having a conversation with Josiah about Providence and God's will for my life. I do not want to believe that my life is determined by random chance, I want to believe that God is actively involved in my life. I know... but believe it or not I am much more self-centered in personal. Call me.

Now, I am going to bring it all together. I don't believe watching that Seinfeld episode was random chance, I think God was talking to me through George's chastity [In convo (conversation) I refer to George as St. George; people give me weird looks, but I know God is smiling down on me.]. I believe that like George having to give up sex,  if I am to be a better person I need to let go of the Colts. So, goodbye NFL Network, goodbye helpful tabs directing me to up to the minute info on the Colts and goodbye Bob Sanders shrine (WHY DON'T YOU EAT ANY OF MY FRUIT!??? Don't you like my incense!????)  As Aslan would say, further in and further up." I feel liberated. I feel free to spend more time on other pursuits.

My fantasy football team, Tom Bombadil, is going to kick so much *ass now.

*Yeah, I bet you saw that coming a mile away.

It's cold in here, I'm putting on some clothes.

Let the world know that I love Scott Cash; *dot com

This blogspot.blogspot.... is dedicated to the loving memory of Maxberg Alansberg Smerdyakov Clarkberk. May he continue to play Halo 3 until his demise. **Amen.

*do I write out 'dot com' when writing.com?

**Is 'amen' redundant?
